Veterinary Assistant
Wage: $21.00 - $23.50/hour (depending on experience)

Job Description
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will work closely with our veterinarians, RVTs, and reception team to ensure our patients receive exceptional care and our hospital operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities Include
- Assisting veterinarians and RVTs with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients.
- Assisting with laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
- Preparing examination rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment, instruments, and facility spaces to keep the hospital organized and inviting.
- Maintaining accurate medical records.
- Filling prescriptions under veterinary direction.
- Restocking supplies and inventory.
- Assisting and supporting the reception team as needed.
- Supporting clients with compassion and professionalism, including during stressful or emotional situations.
- Communicating clearly and collaborating effectively with fellow team members.
Qualifications
Required
- Animal Care Aide (ACA) Certificate.
- Practical experience handling animals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve independently, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic.
- Experience with Avimark Veterinary Software.
Schedule
- Full-Time (4 - 5 days per week)
- Day shifts (8:30 am – 5:30 pm)
- Some Saturdays required (8:30 am – 12:30 pm)
- Flexibility to work extended hours when needed.
- Closed statutory holidays

As a Client Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our valued clients and play an important role in ensuring they receive exceptional service while helping our hospital operate smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities Include
- Greeting clients and assisting with the check-in and check-out process.
- Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Answering phones and assisting clients with general inquiries.
- Supporting clients with compassion and professionalism, including during stressful or emotional situations.
- Communicating clearly and collaborating effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members.
- Maintaining accurate patient medical records.
- Processing payments and client transactions.
- Helping to keep the reception area and hospital clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Assisting with administrative duties and supporting other team members as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous experience in customer service or a receptionist role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve independently, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic.
- Experience with Avimark Veterinary Software.
