RainTree Veterinary Hospital is a busy 2.5 vet, privately owned, small animal veterinary hospital located in Comox, British Columbia. We are committed to providing the highest quality care for pets and supporting their owners throughout their journey. Our team of skilled veterinarians and caring staff work together to create a welcoming and compassionate environment for both our furry patients and their human companions.
Description:
As the first point of contact for our valued clients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth operations within our hospital.
Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Greet and assist clients with the check-in and check-out process during their visit.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Providing clients assistance over the phone.
- Assisting clients who are in stressful situations due to pet health issues.
- Communicating clearly with the Veterinarians and support staff.
- Maintaining patient medical records.
- Helping to keep the hospital clean, organized and inviting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or receptionist roles (required).
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Avimark veterinary software would be an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient attitude towards animals and their owners.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with office software.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Genuine passion for animals and their well-being.

Schedule:
- Seeking someone to work up to 4 days per week (flexible for the right candidate’s needs)
- Day Shift (830am-530pm)
- Some Saturdays required (830am-1230pm)
- Flexibility to work extended hours when needed.
- Closed Holidays
